On August 26th, I played a show at one of Pembroke's newest restaurants The Courtyard Bistro. It was a stunning venue, inside and out... I seriously recommend it for your next date night. For about 20 minutes before I got up to sing, I listened to the lovely stylings of Bernadette Kelly. The talent in this area never ceases to amaze me! Thanks again to the City of Pembroke and Elijah McKeown for hooking me up with the gig.

On August 29th I played a show at Wilderness Tours again and it was a really fun night. I met a bunch of interesting people including the people featured in the image below: Sam, 'Milkshake', and 'Junior' (I think). These boys were members of the Carleton Place Junior A hockey team, the Carleton Canadians. They were eager to share their talent on stage to one of the most interesting renditions of Katy Perry's "Teenaged Dream" I've ever heard. The rest of the hockey team sang and danced all night... my audiences crack me up! Another interesting group from that night was a very enthusiastic bachelor party that put me through the most intense round of "Do You Know This Song" I think I have ever played. Now, this isn't a game you'll likely have heard of although the name is probably fairly self-explanatory. At the beginning of most of my sets I let the crowd know that I am open to take requests as sometimes I know a song or two that someone would like to hear. Well, tonight this group asked me every song they could think of until eventually they (Dan, Bill, and others) came up to sing "Creep" by Radiohead with me, smartphone with lyrics and chords included. I went on to sing a number of other tunes with Dan... thanks for having fun with me, guys! I can only imagine how much fun your wedding reception will be!!

Finally, on September 1st I played at Wilderness Tours again. It was a chilly night and I drank 2 teas and a hot chocolate just to stay warm! Thanks to everyone who stuck around and listened to the show. :)

I'll be playing one more show at Wilderness Tours on September 8th until I am off on an adventure... stay tuned!!
Love,
Jory xo
